A Tomato based marinade, using fresh chilli and ginger along with carefully selected spices, to provide a distinctive American style flavour.
Recipe Suggestion:
Hot & Spicy Chimichangas ( Serves 2 ):
Ingredients:
1 tbsp Olive Oil
225g / 8oz Minced Meat
1 small carrot, diced.
1 small onion, diced
1 red pepper, diced
60g / 2oz of sweet corn
2 heaped tbsp of the Hot & Spicy marinade
1 small can of kidney beans, drained and washed
4 wheat wraps
2 tbsp plain flour
Method:
1. Heat the oil in a pan, add carrot, onion and peppers, fry until soft
2. Add mince meat and brown
3. Add sweetcorn, kidney beans and marinade, cook for 5 mins
4. Leave to cool down
5. Cut the wheat wraps in half, and place a small amount of the mixture in the middle of the wrap, do not over fill
6. Add water to the flour to make a thick paste
7. Paste around the edge of the wraps and fold over to seal, leave to rest for 5 minutes
8. Bake in the oven for 5 minutes until crisp.
